A Greene County judge has ruled that the state can keep cash and bingo machines seized from Frontier Bingo two years ago.

A Greene County judge has ruled that the state can keep cash and bingo machines seized from Frontier Bingo two years ago.
Agents with the Alabama Attorney General's Office and Alabama Department of Public Safety seized $191,249 and 449 bingo machines from Frontier Bingo in Knoxville on March 31, 2014. Authorities claimed that the machines were illegal, and more like typical Las Vegas-style slot machines than the bingo that is allowed in Greene County.
Greene County Circuit Court Judge Eddie Hardaway ruled on Monday that the machines be disposed of or destroyed and the cash transferred to the state's general fund.
'This is a significant victory for the rule of law in Greene County,' Attorney General Luther Strange said in a statement released Monday afternoon.
'Electronic bingo is unlawful within the state of Alabama and today's ruling is further evidence that the law is being enforced.'
